The mountain is soon to be transformed. I thought I would give you some before and after shots of the amazing flowers we have growing on top of LeConte. The coneflowers, beebalm, monks hood, turk's cap lilies, and filmy angelica are all about to bloom up top. The days have been sunny and pleasant. Yesterdays high was 65 with a low around 50. For those of you following our bear situation, the rangers are pretty sure they caught our bear down in the Greenbrier area of the park. We have not seen any more bear activity since the bear was caught, so we have reason to believe this was the LeConte bear.
