Thank you Kenneth for such an amazing meal! It was truly wonderful. He made a bulgar wheat salad with kale, two frittatas, roasted potatoes, amazing oatmeal, rice pudding, homemade apple sauce and canned peaches bread, banana bread, and sourdough bread. What we lack in most things up here, we make up for in the food we eat. Yesterday's high reached 55 and the low was 41 degrees. We dodged all but one of the storms last night, and received 1.25 inches of rain in about 20 minutes. Some of the hardest rains I have experienced. It is currently 43 degrees and rainy. Happy Sunday

The potatoes & bread sounded good! Do you still serve the famous roast beef, mashed poatoes, green beans & apples? That's just traditional at LeConte Lodge!! Hope the menu hasn't changed!!! We will be there in 3 weeks!!

Kathy, I'm sure they still serve their wonderful meals to the guests. The crew usually enjoys a whole different menu at times on Sundays and usually cooked by the crew themselves...or at least they did when my daughter crewed up there several years ago. Enjoy your visit on the mountain and the hike to and fro. I'm counting the days til my September visit.
