Good morning folks,
Another beautiful morning on Mt. LeConte! The high yesterday was 20 degrees. The overnight low was a balmy 10 degrees. It was 21 degrees and sunny at 7 am observation. We received 0” of precipitation as well as no new snow. Our current snow depth is 6”. Word from hikers that snow drifts are well over a foot! This could’ve been the biggest snow the area has seen in quite some time. All roads are open, so come on up and enjoy the 1st day of March. Spring is upon us folks. Wildflowers will be popping up throughout the park very soon. What a day it was yesterday! Crowds of people flocked to the mountain with eager ambitions to see the snow. Blue skies gave way to amazing views. I spent most of yesterday at Myrtle Point and Cliff Tops. Met some great people out enjoying the day. Today will be warmer. It’s shaping up to be a great day at 6593’! SEE YOU AT THE TOP! P-NUT

I love it when you get a picture of the sun with the star reflection. The snow on the trees is also beautiful. Thanks p-nut.
