After a couple of days of rain, the sun has come back out. Yesterday was a bit gloomy around the lodge. We received .41" of rain. The high was 59º with a low of 47º. It always helps lift our spirits to awake to the sun rising up over High Top. I am sure today is going to be a busy day. I think there are a lot of folks trying to get that last summer vacation in before the kids go back to school. Today is a good day for that hike. Come on up and see us. We will have plenty of lemonade waiting for you.

Beautiful picture! I will be hiking up next week and I sure hope the flowers are in bloom then. Thanks for the beautiful pictures you post. Hope everyone has a blessed day on the Mtn.

Ronnie, There is a huge group of them by the lodge last year when we went up Aug 5th and they were beautiful. Enjoy the flowers for me too. I sure do appreciate all those flower pics.

Made plans last night with a friend to get up there within a couple of weeks, I want to see the flowers!!!! Ive never hiked up in the summer, not looking forward to the heat.

The last couple and the next several days here in lower Alabama has been 96 for a high and mid 70's at night.HOT N MUGGY. It feels like you have a wet blanket over you all day. Man what I wouldn't give to have the summer temps you have there. Comments are closed.
