It's already a beautiful day. The forecast is looking good, too. The high yesterday reached 47 degrees (it felt even warmer in the sun!) and the low was 25 degrees. It was 30 degrees and clear at 7am observation.
I had a wonderful, lazy day around camp yesterday. I really enjoyed soaking in the sun and making some progress on 'The Tiger's Wife' (thanks Alice!). Special thanks to Lindi for hiking me up some much appreciated New Belgium Snow Day Ale. I got up around 2am and watched the Geminids from a nice, open spot. They were pretty spectacular. I counted 44 shooting stars in between bouts of dreamy sleep. I'd wake up, feel the shock of cold air on my face and have the immediate comfort of happy memories under the stars warm me. Then I'd remember who I am, where I am and how I'm supposed to be watching for meteors. That made me feel even better.
