It was an even warmer day yesterday. The high was 59. The crew pulled out their summer clothes and enjoyed the sunshine. The low last night was 36. We still have a few inches of snow on the ground.
I will be hiking down for my days off. Chris and I have been training for our first marathon. I will be running a half and Chris will be running a whole. Saturday is the big day to see if all of the training has paid off. We will be back next week to close out the season. The winter caretaker should be around by then and I will pass the torch. Congrats are in order for the two of you. All the training was worthwhile and LeConte is apparently a good place to train. For those who have not heard Allison completed in 3:06:44 and Chris in 5:43:44. I hope that I got the times right and look forward to seeing you a week from tuesday.

Thanks you all. Yes, it was the Chichamauga Battlefield Marathon. Chris and I are now resting so we can hike back to work in a few days. Gary, we will see you up top. Now, it time to go register for my first full marathon in April.

Congrats to you both Allyson! On our hike up in September we passed you and your husband running on the trail...never dreamed you were training for a marathon! Good luck on your next marathon venture! Comments are closed.
