I just wanted everyone to know that it is currently snowing up top. The trails have been clear of ice for a week or so. With this latest storm moving thru, I can not say it will stay that way. I will keep you posted.

we are hiking up tomorrow to spend the night. Being from Florida, we are looking forward to seeing the snow and praying we are prepared. Looking forward to meeting everyone.

this blog is wonderful!! my parents spent the night in the lodge last night and i was worried abt them after weathering the storm in nashville. sounds like they'll have a windy, wet walk down, but that leconte did NOT blow into gatlinburg, thank goodness! hope to see the mountain soon.

Oh dear me. Could it be snowing in June when I am coming to LeConte? My hip is fully rehabilitated, but I don't want to risk a fall on ice or snow.

Now, now folks, it is not nice to impersonate the blogger. :) The current conditions are 31 degrees and spitting sleet. We have about 1 to 2 inches of wet, snowy mess. If you are coming up in the near future, you will want some form of ice cleats.

Hi Allyson. How are you all doing up top? We hiked up last year for the first on good friday and we are planing on coming up again this year. We came up alum cave the first time so now we are thinking about trium what do you think ?

Ray, I think if you want to hike up Trillium, it is a great trail. Have fun and see you up top.

Heading up Thursday morning - group of 10 (4 children ranging from 7-10). How is the weather up top ? How much snow? Any concerns for the little ones based on trail conditions? We plan to come up bullshead and down rainbow. thx
