We are proud to announce the engagement of Ian and Kristi! Ian popped the big question their first night on the mountain and have decided to celebrate every year after up here! Congratulations! We have had the most beautiful weather! Yesterday was amazing, reaching almost 50 degrees. With it only reaching 38 overnight. It was so nice to be able to see the city lights when I woke up this morning. It gave me hope for another nice day! And sunrise left me without want. Everyone is looking forward to a new crew member hiking up today. Stay tuned to meet Walt! I hope your day off the mountain is as wonderful as ours will be! Kristi Weaver and Ian Marshall of Atlanta, GA Glorious Morning!

Juanita, you don't happen to be the star of a show called "Brother Husbands" do you? 3 hubbies at once, we can get you on one of the cable networks.

Yes Mike I just got the email from Alex. He say things are expensive and no one else is hiking the trail. Eating lots of broccoli picked in fields! Sounds like he is having a great time.

LOL! No, three husbands a different times. First there was Charlie, or Good-Time Charlie as I called him. He was a lot older than me. I was only 21 years old and he was in his 40s when we married. We were married for a while until I caught in an affair with a dancing girl in Atlantic City, and that was that! My second husband, Henry, was a wonderful man. We were married for 26 years until he died. I never thought I would marry again, but that's when I met Frank and he brought me to Coral Gables with him. It's been an interesting life being married to three men, and I could sure tell Ian and Kristi some stories and give them some good advise. LOL! Well, I'm out the door to go for a walk in preparation for my trip to Mount LeConte in June.

Thank you everyone for your sweet words and well wishes! Ian TOTALLY surprised me with his proposal but oh how wonderful it was. :) He is the most wonderful man I have ever met. We are so happy and blessed to have shared such a special moment at Leconte Lodge. It truly is God's country up there and the staff couldn't be more amazing. The hike up is now our first official annual family tradition. Juanita - hope to meet you one day! Sounds like you have some great stories. :) Comments are closed.
