Wrap It Up

I enjoyed my last commute for the season. Chris and I lucked out and dodged the rain yesterday. The clouds rolled in behind us and dropped 2 1/2 inches of rain on us through the night. I awoke this morning to a downpour. It has since stopped and opened up a view of the valley. We are officially into our last week on the mountain. The crew has hit that special time of the year where they are giddy with anticipation for their "summer" break. The winter caretaker should be making his way up the mountain. I will make the introductions tomorrow. I must go and  serve pancakes and hot cocoa.

Used to be seeing Douglass Lake from LeConte was a regular occurrence. Although I haven't been there recently, I suspect less often now. Great picture after a clearing storm. Have a great off-season.

@Larry and Debbie- I use an Olympus xz-1 point and shoot. I got it this year and am a huge fan. It shoots in raw files as well.

I am going to miss your daily posts & pictures, but look forward to hearing from the winter caretaker. My day is not complete until I've checked the Mt. Leconte post. I hope you all have a wonderful winter break and look forward to your arrival on top of the mountain next spring. God Bless.
