Not a cloud in the sky and not a worry in my head. Yesterday was THE perfect day on the mountain. The high was 53 but it was the perfect temperature in the sun. Chris and I sat out at Myrtle Point for the afternoon. My internal battery is completely recharged. These are the days that represent September on the mountain. We watched the peregrine soar below us. With a few flaps of his wings, he was over Newfound Gap in no time. It is a bit cooler this morning. The low last night was 29. Time to pull out the down jacket.

Haven't built a fire yet in my wood burner, but that will come soon enough; WIth a three-year supply of firewood out back, I won't be cuttiing much this season, which means I can go to the Smokies more often ! Skies were a brilliant blue here all day yesterday, too. G'day !!

Yes, we went camping this weekend (one of our favorites here in MO) and yesterday it got just a tad chilly. This morning when we woke up, it was time to turn the heat on. I think I could have made it just fine but having a child and the pets, I didn't think they would appreciate it.

Ahhhh.....If only those toenails were painted a nice rosy red, i could then almost see that being me lying there, soaking in the sun, feeling that crisp mountain air blowing lightly across those toes & taking in that view! Now THATS relaxing! ~{^_^}~
