Misty trails this morning.
Good afternoon, internet! Sorry about the late post, we are BUSY on the mountain today! Yesterday's high was a very balmy 64 and the low was 49. Today has been teetering between sunny and cloudy, but it is warm- already 61. Everyone enjoy their Saturday!

Another beautiful evening.
Good afternoon, everyone! Writing from a cool and cloudy mountain top today. Yesterday's high was 61 and the low was 45. We had clouds all day yesterday, but the rain never fell and it cleared away leaving a sky full of stars for us to enjoy last night. Today has been on the cooler side so far, only in the low 50's now, and the clouds are hanging low....but it seems not to have damped the spirits of any day hikers because we already have lots of people up enjoying the mountain!

Somewhere over the rainbow...
What a beautiful morning we are having up top! After a few straight days of stormy weather, it is nice to see the sun again. Yesterday's high was 59 and the low fell to a chilly 40 degrees with thunder showers through the afternoon. It cleared up at dinner once again and we were left with a spectacular double rainbow! (It's hard to see the second one, but it was there!) Right now we are already in the mid 50's and partly cloudy. Very pleasant weather for a walk in the woods!

Sunset colors in between storms last evening.
Good (almost) afternoon from a slightly chilly mountain top! Yesterday stayed cool for the most part with the high only reaching 59 and the low down to 40. We had thunder rolling through camp all day and heavy showers through the late afternoon and into the evening, leaving us with .62" of rain. Even as we were ringing the bell for dinner, Leconte Falls (the steps in front of the dinning room) was flowing freely from a sudden storm. But low and behold, as the last cookie was finished and the dishes where done, one of the most unique and beautiful sunsets broke through the clouds and set the sky on fire...I love the way the mountain says goodnight.

Hide and seek...
Hello, hello! We started off the week with rain and bears! (Well, one bear to be precise, just roaming around near camp for the past few days) Yesterday was sunny, cloudy and rainy with a little hail thrown in at the end. The mountain received .6" of much needed rain. Yesterday's high was 62 and the low was 45. Currently, the weather seems to be stuck in a cool, cloudy funk. The temperature is in the low 50's and we are expected to get more rain this afternoon.  Keep your rain gear close this week!

Good morning! I hope that everyone had a wonderful weekend.  Yesterday's high was 63 and the low felt chilly at 45. We received .25" of rain yesterday, mostly in the evening. Today is a little dreary and chilly, only about 50 so far and the clouds are thick and low with rain. Stay warm and dry today!
